I'm a writer working on a book called “The Wonder Years” — about how we are born wondering, lose it through ordinary adult life, and what it takes to find our way back. The essays here are the thinking, the research, and the stories that don't fit in the book. I write because writing about wonder turns out to be one of the best ways to recover it.
The world is more interesting than we remember
Wonder lives in the looking.
Wonder is mostly a matter of where you point your eyes. We forget to look up. The world keeps being magnificent anyway.
